Arline Mathieu - Paintings / Drawings
Arline Mathieu’s work, informed by the observable world, stems also from science and the thought and practice of Buddhism. Since 2015, much of her work has been inspired by discoveries made of water on the moons of Saturn and Jupiter and explores questions about life on other planets, as well as the earliest emergence of life on planet Earth. Paintings of ink, watercolor and other materials on paper, offer imagined but possible universes. They present worlds in flux, with phenomena emerging and ever changing, fleeting and fragile in nature.
