Arline Mathieu - Paintings / Drawings
Arline Mathieu’s work, informed by the observable world, stems also from science. This series of work on paper initially was inspired by discoveries of water on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. Her drawings/paintings offer imagined, but possible universes. They draw the viewer into a watery environment and into the microscopic, imaginative worlds of the nascent colonies of life on these moons, or of the ponds or oceans of our own planet.
