"Worlds That Never Were" From The Arts transform and Heal Show in Bolinas, CA @ Commonweal.
How Does Art Transform and Heal?
The spirit of creation, the Moment
when I let go and my creative self takes over.
When I am creating I find my strongest and best works are often done when I don’t think about it, I allow my creative core to come forth and trust in its abilities and allow it to unfold and evolve before me. I have noticed often when photographing, the first photo is the best shot. When I try to adjust it with the next set of photographs, they are never as strong or beautifully composed as the first. As a result, I achieve a sense of healing in being creative while capturing the beauty of nature found all around us.
Pure joy, immense pleasure and satisfaction are derived from the creative process.
My work often contains a beautiful image with a meditative quality. Many viewers have a peaceful and calm feeling while they are observing my work.
Dancing the dance of the creative spirit.

Reflections on water, life itself. We humans are always drawn to bodies of water.
It doesn't seem to matter whether it’s the vastness of our oceans, the stillness of a small pond, with the wind dancing on it.
Its ever changing like life is.
We love to spend hours pondering before it.
It’s a great place to think and clear out our head and explore with our heart and soul.
We owe everything to water, the power of life.
Movement- water mist -flow
The fog rolling in from the ocean along the coast
gently softening everything and the world quiets down.
The wax flows over the surfaces and softens my images just like the way the fog softens the landscape in my photographs, in such a gentle and subtle manor.
The flow and movement of the wax only adds to the magic and mystic of my photographs.
Tim’s work begins with a captured image – a photograph - of something external in the
perceived world which is then modified through techniques and media to provide an
altered perception, an internal reaction, to that reality. His methods produce images of
surreal luminosity where the blurring and graying and softening of lines creates an
ethereal emanation of internal light. They are glowing from within.
